Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center Extends Temporary Closure through April 12

The Gettysburg Foundation and Gettysburg National Military Park are dedicated to a nation united. We’re also dedicated to the safety and health of our visitors, staff and volunteers.

Consistent with Pennsylvania Governor Wolf’s decision to close many public facing businesses, the Gettysburg Foundation and Gettysburg National Military Park are joining with other organizations, businesses and groups to fight the spread of the coronavirus.

With these safety measures, the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center will temporarily close through Sunday, April 12, 2020. This is a precautionary measure to limit the health risks associated with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) based on the guidance of state and federal officials. The battlefield will remain accessible.

All Gettysburg Foundation and Gettysburg National Military Park events and programs scheduled during this time are canceled. Additional events scheduled for April, including Spring Muster events (April 24-26), have also been canceled.

The health and well-being of our visitors and community come first, and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Museum & Visitor Center in the near future.

Currently, the Museum & Visitor Center is scheduled to reopen at 8 a.m., Monday, April 13, 2020. However, we will continually evaluate the situation, taking into account guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Pennsylvania Department of Public Health, and other state and federal officials.

Guests with tickets for the Film, Cyclorama & Museum Experience, battlefield tour packages, shuttles to Eisenhower National Historic Site, the David Wills House, group reservations or special events during the closure period may reschedule their visits for a later date or receive a full refund.

Guests may also contact the Gettysburg Foundation at 877-874-2478 for refunds, questions or concerns.

Updates and changes will be posted to this page.
