Phase Yellow: Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center Remains Closed

The Gettysburg Foundation and Gettysburg National Military Park are dedicated to a nation united. We’re also dedicated to the safety and health of our visitors, staff and volunteers.

Consistent with Pennsylvania Governor Wolf's decision to move to Phase Yellow for Adams County, the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center will remain closed until further notice. Phase Yellow requires museums and theaters — such as the Gettysburg Museum of the American Civil War and the theaters for the "A New Birth of Freedom" film at the Museum & Visitor Center — to remain closed.

In addition to the Museum & Visitor Center, the Eisenhower National Historic Site, David Wills House, Rupp House History Center, Gettysburg Lincoln Railroad Station and George Spangler Farm & Field Hospital will also remain closed until further notice. Gettysburg Foundation programs and events are also suspended until further notice.

During this time, battlefield roads and trails remain accessible. With the move to Phase Yellow on May 22, 2020 and in compliance with public health guidelines, National Park Rangers will now provide informal interpretation services through intermittent roves, or visits, to different areas of the battlefield.

The Gettysburg Foundation also welcomes back Licensed Battlefield Guides who may now resume tours of the battlefield while complying with state and public health reopening guidelines.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Museum & Visitor Center once the spread of the COVID-19 virus has been mitigated and health officials indicate we can safely reopen.

Guests with tickets for the Film, Cyclorama & Museum Experience, battlefield tour packages, shuttles to Eisenhower National Historic Site, the David Wills House, group reservations or special events during the closure period may reschedule their visits for a later date or receive a full refund.

Guests may also contact the Gettysburg Foundation at 877-874-2478 for refunds, questions or concerns.
