Stay in a historic home on the Gettysburg battlefield during your next visit.
Gettysburg National Military Park makes three historic homes on the Gettysburg battlefield available for overnight accommodations and short term lease.
The Michael Bushman, the John Slyder and the George Rose houses all witnessed the Battle of Gettysburg throughout the day on July 2, 1863. The Bushman Farm served as staging ground for Confederate General John Bell Hood’s attack. The Slyder Farm was used as a defensive position for Union sharpshooters. The Rose Farm was at the center of some of the fiercest fighting of the war, and the property was utilized for shelter and field hospital.
