Have “Coffee with a Historian”

Jun 23, 2023

The Gettysburg Foundation invites area residents and visitors to Gettysburg to purchase tickets for a new program at the Gettysburg Lincoln Railroad StationTM, now home to Ticket to the Past—Unforgettable Journeys, Gettysburg’s first virtual reality experience. Join local historian Mary Turk-Meena Sunday, July 16, 2023, at 9 a.m. for “Coffee with a Historian.”

The station located at 35 Carlisle Street in downtown Gettysburg—where U.S. history was made—offers an excellent backdrop for informal discussions on “All Things Gettysburg 1863” over a cup of coffee. Turk-Meena will lead discussions on Gettysburg-related history during the July 16 program. The program offers ticket holders the chance to ask questions pertaining to what they have always wanted to know about Gettysburg in 1863. Guests are encouraged to interact and join the conversation.

Featuring a different historian on Sunday morning once a month July through October 2023, the one-hour informal discussions will take place on the covered pavilion. Coffee and tea will be provided.
