Refund Policy

Gettysburg teaches us that things don't always go as planned.

In the event your program is canceled or you otherwise cannot attend your ticketed event or tour, here's some important information for you:

All tickets are sold on a final sale basis. Understanding that, you are able to request a refund if desired. Once we receive your request, we will get back in touch with you.

Any refunds will be issued to the credit card, debit card or the method of payment used to make your purchase.

Late Arrival

Contact Guest Relations at 877-874-2478 or 717-334-2436 if you are running late. Late arrivals may cause Licensed Battlefield Guide tours to be forfeited. No refunds will be issued.

Guest Cancellations

Reservations are refundable 7 days or more before your scheduled visit. Reservations are non-refundable less than 7 days prior to your scheduled visit.

Other Circumstances

Occasionally, circumstances may arise that require a refund. Refunds are generally reserved for extraordinary circumstances and Venue cancellations or postponements.

For exact instructions on any cancellation or postponement, check the exhibit, tour, program or event information online or contact us

Venue Cancellations and Postponements

If the Venue must cancel or postpone your event, we will attempt to contact you to inform you of any refund or exchange procedures specific to your tickets.

If an exhibit, tour, program or event is canceled, and you purchased your ticket through GettysburgFoundation.org or advance reservations through Guest Relations, any refund will be issued to the credit card, debit card or the method of payment used to make your purchase.

Refunds and Exchanges

Before purchasing tickets, carefully review your selections. Policies generally prohibit us from issuing exchanges or refunds after a ticket has been purchased, or for lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets.

In addition, if we offer any tickets at a discount after the original on sale date, we will not refund the difference between the original price and the sale price. Venue seating and layouts are subject to change at any time, and refunds are not allowed if the seating or layout is updated or if additional seats are added or seats change because of a layout change after purchase.

You agree that you will not attempt to evade, avoid or circumvent any refund prohibitions in any manner regarding tickets you purchased. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you will not contact us to seek a refund or exchange from us when we are prohibited from providing one, and you will not dispute or otherwise seek a "chargeback" from the company whose credit card you used to purchase tickets from the site.

Should you do so, your tickets are subject to immediate cancellation, and we may, in our sole discretion, refuse to honor pending and future ticket purchases made from all credit card accounts or online accounts on which such chargebacks have been made, and may prohibit future purchases from all persons in whose name the credit card accounts exist and any person who accesses any associated online account or credit card or who otherwise breaches this provision from using the site.

If we issue you a refund for a ticket due to a canceled or postponed exhibit, tour, program or event, we will issue a refund of the ticket's face value paid (or, for a discounted ticket, then instead the discounted ticket price paid, when applicable). If the event was canceled and/or a refund is issued, we will issue a refund of the ticket price you paid. For ticket insurance refunds, contact your insurance provider. If a refund is issued, it will be issued using the same method of payment that was used to purchase the tickets. We will not be liable for travel or any other expenses that you or anyone else incurs in connection with a canceled or postponed exhibit, tour, program or event.

Event Canceled? We want you back.

You were ready.

You were "Prepared."

But things didn't quite work out as planned for your trip to Gettysburg.

If your event was canceled, or you weren't able to attend your ticketed program, we hope you'll come back again to visit us.

We hope to see you soon. You never know where your visit might lead.

This is well staffed with helpful people. The films and museums are great to get you started on understanding what went on here during the battle. We had a 6-year-old with us and everything kept her engaged all day long. Really well done.
