Purchase Policy

We want to make your purchasing experience as easy, efficient and equitable as possible as we help you finalize planning your visit to explore Gettysburg.

The following information will help ensure your satisfaction and understanding of the purchase process on the Gettysburg Foundation website.

If you have any questions, please contact us. Your purchases on our site are subject to these terms. Please also review our Terms of Use which govern your use of our site.

Currency

All ticket prices for our exhibits, tours, programs and events are stated in U.S. Dollars.

Payment Methods

We accept several methods of payment to accommodate your needs. GettysburgFoundation.org accepts, among other forms of payment, American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Gettysburg Foundation gift certificates for qualifying purchases.

From Whom You Are Buying

Gettysburg Foundation is the official ticketing agent for Gettysburg National Military Park, Eisenhower National Historic Site, the David Wills House and all Gettysburg Foundation historic sites (collectively, the “Venues"). When you purchase tickets for exhibits, tours, programs and events located at the Venues, Gettysburg Foundation will handle the transaction and collect payment.

Tickets obtained from unauthorized sources may be lost, stolen or counterfeit, and if so, are void.

Pricing and Availability

Gettysburg Foundation sets the face price of all Venues tickets. Tickets are sold through several distribution points, including Gettysburg Foundation’s website and Guest Relations ticket counters and advanced reservations.

All distribution points access the same ticketing system and inventory; therefore, tickets for popular exhibits, tours, programs and events may sell out quickly.

Occasionally, additional tickets may become available prior to the exhibit, tour, program or event date/time. However, we do not guarantee additional inventory or availability. Visit our FAQs section for more information on ticket availability.

Order Confirmation

If you do not receive an order confirmation–in the form of a confirmation page or email–after submitting payment information, or if you experience an error message or service interruption after submitting payment information, it is your responsibility to confirm, via your Gettysburg Foundation account or by calling Guest Relations at 877-874-2478 or 717-334-2436, to determine whether or not your order has been placed.

You may be the only one aware of problems occuring during the purchase process. We are not responsible for losses (monetary or otherwise) if you assume that an order was not placed because you failed to receive confirmation.

Service Fees and Order Processing Fees

Tickets purchased on our site are typically not subject to service fees, order processing fees or delivery fees.

Number of Tickets or "Ticket Limits"

When purchasing tickets on our site, you are limited to a specified number of tickets (also known as a “ticket limit”) for exhibits, tours, programs and events.

This ticket limit is posted during the purchase process and is verified with every transaction. This policy is in effect for exhibits, tours, programs and events that have a limited number of seats for each show, shuttle or viewing time (also known as a “timed ticket”).

If you are unable to purchase the desired number of tickets, you have the option to choose an alternate timed ticket to find out availability or call Guest Relations at 877-874-2478 or 717-334-2436 for assistance.

Each Gettysburg Foundation account must be linked to a unique individual and contain valid, and verifiable, information. Multiple accounts will not allow you to exceed published ticket limits.

Ticket Transfer

Gettysburg Foundation ticket purchases are not transferrable for purposes of payment and refunds. Tickets purchased by an individual and given or gifted to another individual are permitted for ticket use only.

Note: If an exhibit, tour, program or event is canceled or rescheduled, only the original purchaser will be eligible for any possible refund. Refer to our Refund Policy for specific information.

Recipients can choose only Mobile or Print-at-Home ticket delivery if the exhibit, tour, program or event offers it. All package elements, memberships and ticket insurance originally purchased or included with the ticket are not transferable. Ticket insurance will not apply to transferred tickets.

Event Presenters

Exhibit, tour, program and event presenters are subject to change or cancellation at any time without notice. No refund will be owed if a presenter is changed or canceled.

Canceled, Postponed and Rescheduled Exhibits, Tours, Programs and Events

Occasionally, exhibits, tours, programs and events are canceled or postponed. Should this occur, we will attempt to contact you to inform you of any refund or exchange procedures specific to your tickets. Refer to our Refund Policy for further details.

If you are unable to make the new date or time when rescheduling occurs, or if you require additional assistance, please contact us or call Guest Relations at 877-874-2478 or 717-334-2436.

Refunds and Exchanges

Before purchasing tickets, carefully review your selections. Policies generally prohibit us from issuing exchanges or refunds for lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets. Refer to our Refund Policy for further details.

Account, Order and Billing Information Verification

All information on accounts and orders must be valid and are subject to verification.

Orders placed, or attempted to be placed, using an account in which any information entered is found to be false, misleading, incorrect, incomplete or cannot be verified as belonging to the account holder, such as name, address, email address, phone number, IP address or other, are subject to cancellation, at any time.

In addition to order cancellation, tickets found to be obtained through an unverified account may be sold to another customer without further notice. Orders are subject to credit card approval and processed only after the billing address associated with your credit card, and other billing information, has been verified.

Delivery Options

Different combinations of delivery methods may be offered, depending on factors that include the Venue where the exhibit, tour, program or event is to be held, the country in which you live, how much time is available before the date/time, whether it is a holiday season and the nature of the demand for the exhibit, tour, program or event. Please review the list of delivery methods offered during the purchase process.

Generally, the following delivery methods may be offered. Purchasing your tickets online at GettysburgFoundation.org or by phone with Guest Relations provide you the following options for your ticket delivery:

  1. Mobile Ticket – for orders placed online

  1. Print-at-Home Ticket – for orders placed by phone

  1. Will Call – for special circumstances regarding your order

The Print-at-Home method requires a PDF reader. If your device does not have PDF reading software, you can download and install Adobe Reader

Pricing and Other Errors

If the amount you pay for a ticket is incorrect, we have the right to cancel that ticket (or the order for that ticket) and refund to you the amount you paid.

Pricing errors may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • An error in a price posted on GettysburgFoundation.org or otherwise communicated to you by an authorized Gettysburg Foundation employee
  • Purchase of a ticket before its scheduled on-sale or presale date
  • Purchase of a ticket not released for sale

This policy applies regardless of human error or a transactional malfunction of this site or other Gettysburg Foundation operated system. We will not be liable for travel or any other expenses that you, or anyone else, incurs in connection with errors of this nature.

Multiple Browser Windows

When ordering tickets online with us, please ensure you are looking for tickets and placing an order using only one browser window. Looking up tickets using multiple browser windows could result in losing your tickets, errors occurring during the purchase process or timer expiration.

Limitation of Liability

You voluntarily assume all risks and danger incidental to the exhibit, tour, program or event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring before, during or after your arrival to the Venue and admission, and you waive any claims for personal injury or death against us, management, facilities, presenters, artists or other participants, and all of our respective affiliated entities, agents, officers, directors, owners and employees on behalf of yourself and any accompanying minor. You bear all risks of inclement weather. Exhibit, tour, program and event dates and times are subject to change.

License; Ejection and Cancellation; No Redemption Value

You agree to comply with all the Venues' applicable rules, policies, terms and conditions. Venues reserve the right, without refund of any amount paid, to refuse admission to, or eject, any person whose conduct management deems disorderly, who uses vulgar or abusive language or who fails to comply with Guest Guidelines & Policies.

Breach of terms, rules, guidelines or policies will terminate your license to attend the exhibit, tour, program or event without refund. A ticket is a revocable license, and admission may be refused upon refunding the ticket's face amount. A ticket is not redeemable for cash.

Recording, Transmission and Exhibition

You agree that the exhibit, tour, program or event for which you purchase tickets is public, that your appearance and actions inside and outside the Venues are public in nature, and that you have no expectation of privacy with regard to your actions or conduct.

You grant permission to us, the Venues, presenter, our partners, licensees and assigns, including but not limited to our brand and media partners, to utilize your name, image, likeness, acts, poses, appearance, movements and statements in any live or recorded audio, video or photographic display or other transmission, exhibition, publication or reproduction made of, or at, the Venues (regardless of whether before, during or after admission to the exhibit, tour, program or event) for any purpose, in any manner, in any medium or context now known or hereafter developed, without further authorization from, or compensation to, you or anyone acting on your behalf.

You Are Subject to Search

You and your belongings may be searched on entry to the Venues, exhibit, tour, program or event. You consent to such searches and waive any related claims that may arise. If you elect not to consent to such searches, you may be denied entry to the Venues, exhibit, tour, program or event without refund or other compensation.

Under certain facility rules, certain items may not be brought into the premises, including without limitation, firearms, alcohol, drugs, controlled substances, laser pointers, strobe lights, irritants (e.g., artificial noisemakers), bundles and containers. Refer to our Safety & Prohibited Items Policy for further details.

Unlawful Resale of Tickets; Promotions

Unlawful resale (or attempted resale), counterfeit or copy of tickets is grounds for seizure and cancellation without compensation.

Certain maximum resale premiums and restrictions may apply in some states, and we cannot be responsible for providing legal advice regarding resale or pricing of tickets.

You are responsible for complying with all applicable ticket sale laws. In addition, we reserve the right to restrict or deny ticket purchasing privileges to anyone that we determine to be, or has been, in violation of our policies.

Because we do not allow tickets purchased from non-authorized third parties, tickets are required to be purchased directly through Gettysburg Foundation or the Venues ticket counter to ensure ticket authenticity. Tickets may not be used for advertising, promotions, contests or sweepstakes, unless formal written authorization is given by us in advance.

Adventure Starts Here

Fearless missions.

Daring Escapes.

Rarely seen treasures.

You never know where your visit might lead.

Go Prepared.

This is well staffed with helpful people. The films and museums are great to get you started on understanding what went on here during the battle. We had a 6-year-old with us and everything kept her engaged all day long. Really well done.
