IMPORTANT: If you are running late for your scheduled visit:

  • Call our Guest Relations team, 717-339-2124.
  • We will do our best to accommodate you if you are late for your visit. However, if you have scheduled a Licensed Battlefield Guide tours, a late arrival may result in the forfeiture of your tour and fee. Refunds are not possible for guided tours.

Arriving: Please check your confirmation email for specific arrival instructions.

Museum & Visitor Center Arrivals:

  • The bus drop-off lane at the Museum & Visitor Center is the first right after exiting Baltimore Pike.
  • Staff is available to assist you with drop-off.
  • The Bus/RV parking lot is the first left after exiting Baltimore Pike.
  • Restrooms and vending machines are located at the Bus/RV parking lot.
  • The Museum & Visitor Center offers convenient on-site shopping and dining. Meal options/deliveries for groups are available from our Refreshment Saloon or Battlegrounds Cafe & Grille.
  • Any food deliveries not purchased through our on-site eateries served by our partner Battlegrounds Hospitality, are required to be received in the bus parking lot.
  • Trash In/Trash Out - Take your group's trash with you when leaving the Museum & Visitor Center complex. Group trash is not to be left behind.

 

Student Groups 

From Tillie Pierce (age 15) to Charles McCurdy (age 10), teen and pre-teen students have played a vital role in relating the stories of Gettysburg.

The benefits of student group reservations include the following:

  • A group check-in process to bypass the general admission line
  • The opportunity to preorder boxed lunches
  • Student group discount ticket prices for the Film, Cyclorama & Museum Experience
  • Year-round reservations with the ability to change reservations up to 14 days prior to your group’s visit
  • An onsite bookstore/retail area

To ensure a productive, meaningful inspirational visit for your student group, all visitors should observe the following regulations:

  • Please review the Tips for Your Visit, respect the Guest Guidelines & Policies and adhere to the Safety & Prohibited Items Policy.
  • Help us keep the collections safe. Avoid bringing backpacks and larger items into the Museum & Visitor Center. All bags are subject to inspection. Please refer to the list of prohibited items.
  • One chaperone is required for every seven students in your group. Chaperones/teachers should remain with their students/children at all times, in all areas of the building and complex. Students are admitted to the venues only when accompanied by a chaperone. Chaperones are responsible for ensuring orderly and respectful behavior.
  • For your group’s safety, please disembark from your bus only when instructed by a staff member.
  • Assemble your group at the theater entrance 10 minutes before your scheduled Film & Cyclorama show time and remain together. Accommodations for late arrivals are not guaranteed.

 

Adult Groups 

Whether it’s your first or your tenth visit to the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center, a tour led by a Licensed Battlefield Guide offers your group insights into the 1863 battle.

Starting your visit with the Film, Cyclorama & Museum Experience will help your group weave together the themes and connect with the stories and personalities for thought-provoking discussion. Your group will leave with a deeper understanding of the battle and its aftermath.

The benefits of adult group reservations include the following:

  • A dedicated arrival time slot for your group
  • Options for vouchers, boxed luch or catering service
  • A group check-in process to bypass the general admission line
  • The opportunity to customize your Licensed Battlefield Guide tour for length and topic
  • Dedicated Guest Relations staff who will work with you to accommodate special requests

To ensure a productive, meaningful inspirational visit for your group, all visitors should observe the following regulations:

 

Bus Driver Information

  • After unloading your group, proceed to the Bus Parking Lot.
  • Do not leave your bus unattended while in the loading/unloading lanes. Idling is not permitted.
  • To prevent delays in your schedule, have a means to communicate with your group.
  • To avoid congestion and delays, please do not arrive at the pick-up area until your entire group is ready to board. Early arrivals will be directed back to the bus parking lot until the group is ready to board.
  • Restrooms are available at the bus parking lot.
  • Any food deliveries not purchased through our on-site eateries served by our partner Battlegrounds Hospitality, are required to be received in the bus parking lot.
  • Bus drivers receive complimentary admission to the Film, Cyclorama & Museum Experience.
  • Please see the parking attendants with any questions or requests.
  • Trash In/Trash Out - Group trash must be taken with you. No group trash is to be left behind.
