View the Gettysburg Cyclorama in a Different Light
Jan 9, 2026
Visitors to the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center will have an opportunity to experience the Gettysburg Cyclorama painting in a unique way on Jan. 20, 21 and 22, 2026, as part of the Film, Cyclorama & Museum Experience.
During this limited-time “lights up” program, the historic Battle of Gettysburg Cyclorama painting will be fully illuminated, offering a striking contrast to the traditional sound-and-light show that dramatizes Pickett’s Charge. While standing on the Cyclorama platform, visitors will hear introductory remarks that explore the history of the painting and highlight key scenes and details.
This special presentation is offered while the Cyclorama undergoes its annual preventive maintenance. The scheduled maintenance helps sustain the operating systems that allow future generations to continue experiencing this historic, restored work of art.
Tickets for the Film, Cyclorama & Museum Experience during this period include the special “lights up” Cyclorama program. Maintenance is expected to be completed, and the traditional Film, Cyclorama & Museum Experience will resume Friday, Jan. 23, 2026.
