Originally opened in 1859, the Gettysburg Lincoln Railroad Station served as a vital hub during the American Civil War—transporting supplies, evacuating the wounded and later welcoming returning soldiers, visitors and dignitaries, including President Lincoln himself. Today, it stands as a powerful symbol of resilience and reflection, offering visitors a unique look into Gettysburg’s wartime and postwar history.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the station features interpretive exhibits, historic artifacts and a detailed model depicting the building as it appeared in 1863.
