Victorian Fashion Show & Tea Party

September 20, 2022

Families and visitors to Gettysburg are invited to attend a Victorian Fashion Show & Tea Party on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, at Children of Gettysburg 1863, located at 451 Baltimore Street, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The Civilians of Gettysburg and the Gettysburg Foundation are pleased to co-sponsor the event from 3 until 5 p.m. with an afternoon tea and Victorian fashion show. CANCELED

The Civilians of Gettysburg are a group of living historians, attired in authentic Victorian period clothing, who portray and recreate the experiences of Civil War era civilians of Gettysburg and provide ‘first-person impressions.’

The Victorian Fashion Show & Tea Party will feature living historians with the Civilians of Gettysburg in fashions of the Victorian and Civil War era. Both ladies and gentlemen attire for all ages will be presented. Guests can sample period food, tea and family-friendly beverages. Formal attire is not required. However, guests are invited and encouraged to attend the social event of the fall season at the children’s history museum in their favorite Victorian-era and Civil War period attire.

Reservations for the Victorian Fashion Show & Tea Party are required in advance. Reservations are $20 for adults (ages 13 and older) and $10 for children/youth (up to 12 years of age). Reservations can be made online or by calling 877-874-2478.

Event attendees are also invited to get tickets to the museum adventure inside Children of Gettysburg 1863, where they can experience hands-on history through the stories of children, teens and young adults who lived in and near Gettysburg during and after the 1863 battle. Designed for families and children (grades K-5), the interactive adventure takes families on a journey through galleries of interactive exhibits and experiences that provide a history-based setting for creativity, discovery and learning.

Tickets for children and youth (ages 12 and younger) to experience the museum adventure are free with a ticketed adult (ages 13 and older).

Visit GettysburgFoundation.org or call 877-874-2478 for information, event reservations and tickets for Children of Gettysburg 1863.
