As visitors plan their trip to Gettysburg during the holiday season, the Gettysburg Foundation announces hours of operation for the new virtual reality experience for the upcoming holidays. Located at 35 Carlisle Street, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, inside the historic Gettysburg Lincoln Railroad StationTM, Ticket to the Past—Unforgettable Journeys is closed Christmas Eve, Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022, Christmas, Sunday, Dec. 25, 2022, and New Year’s Day, Monday, Jan. 1, 2023.
Ticket to the Past—Unforgettable Journeys will reopen Friday, Dec. 30, 2022, at 10 a.m. after the Christmas holiday closure. The virtual reality experience will open for the last day this year on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The station will continue to observe winter hours and will be closed for most of January and February 2023. The Gettysburg Foundation looks forward to reopening for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and Presidentfs Day holiday weekends:
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Weekend Opening: Saturday, Jan. 14 through Monday, Jan. 16, 2023, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
- President's Day Weekend Opening: Saturday, Feb. 18 through Monday, Feb. 20, 2023, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Ticket to the Past—Unforgettable Journeys will resume spring/summer hours in March 2023.
