View the Gettysburg Cyclorama in a Different Light
March 9, 2022
On the afternoon of Wednesday, March 30, 2022, visitors to the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center have the unique opportunity to see the Gettysburg Cyclorama painting in a different light beginning with the 1:45 p.m. showtime.

Different from the traditional experience of the light and sound show in which visitors experience the dramatic Pickett’s Charge depicted in the Cyclorama painting, the special “lights up” program will feature an introductory talk while in full light of the painting. Visitors can see a very different view of the historic painting with the lights up, and gain an understanding of the history and scenes depicted in the painting with the opportunity for questions and answers.
The Gettysburg Cyclorama is scheduled to undergo maintenance and cleaning of the painting. The maintenance will help sustain the historic painting for future generations to experience.

Visitors can purchase tickets for the Film, Cyclorama & Museum Experience that includes the special lights up program on March 30 beginning with the 1:45 p.m. showtime throughout the remainder of the afternoon. The Cyclorama maintenance is planned to be completed, and the traditional Film, Cyclorama & Museum Experience will be available again on Thursday, March 31, 2022.
