The Gettysburg Foundation today announced a special discounted admission for the upcoming Black Friday weekend for the new virtual reality experience, Ticket to the Past–Unforgettable Journeys located at 35 Carlisle Street in downtown Gettysburg. General admission tickets for the Black Friday Weekend Special are now available to purchase for admission from Friday, Nov. 25, through Monday, Nov. 28, 2022, only.
Visitors to Gettysburg and Black Friday holiday shoppers can take a break from the hustle and bustle of Black Friday shopping. Immerse yourself in history at the Gettysburg Lincoln Railroad StationTM and experience virtual reality through the unforgettable journeys of historic figures. With the help of virtual reality technology, you can travel back to 1863 and find yourself at the center of this historic railroad station when it served as a hospital, supply lifeline and presidential arrival platform. Meet some of the railroad station’s unlikely occupants, hear their stories, discover the extraordinary impact the station made on their lives. Guests might even catch a glimpse of our 16th President.
The virtual reality experience is open for the special weekend Friday, Noon until 8 p.m. and Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Ticket to the Past–Unforgettable Journeys admission tickets are available to purchase online at GettysburgFoundation.org/Ticket-to-the-Past, by calling 877-874-2478, at the ticket counter inside the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center and on-site at Ticket to the Past–Unforgettable Journeys. Tickets purchased for admission during the Black Friday Weekend Special offer a savings of $3 per person off the regular adult ticket price and will be valid for use only during the Black Friday weekend from Friday, Nov. 25 through Monday, Nov. 28, 2022.
