As a precautionary measure to limit the health risks associated with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center will temporarily close through Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
The closing comes based on the guidance of state and federal officials and follows the decision by Pennsylvania Governor Wolf to close many public facing businesses.
In addition to the temporary closing of the Museum & Visitor Center all Gettysburg Foundation and Gettysburg National Military Park events and programs are canceled. The Gettysburg battlefield will remain accessible to visitors.
The Museum & Visitor Center is scheduled to reopen at 8 a.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2020 pending further information or directives of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Pennsylvania Department of Public Health, and other state and federal officials.
Guests with tickets for the Film, Cyclorama & Museum Experience, battlefield tour packages, shuttles to Eisenhower National Historic Site, the David Wills House, group reservations or special events during the closure period may reschedule their visits for a later date or receive a full refund.
Guests may also contact the Gettysburg Foundation at 877-874-2478 for refunds, questions or concerns.
