Sponsor a Candle for the Remembrance Illumination: A Heartfelt Donation in Honor or Memory of a Loved One

October 16, 2018

The Gettysburg Foundation presents the 16th Annual Remembrance Day Illumination on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018 from 5:30–9 p.m. in the Soldiers’ National Cemetery in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The commemoration features a luminary candle on each of the 3,512 Civil War soldiers’ graves. The names of the fallen soldiers will be read throughout the evening. Participants may enter the Cemetery through the gate at Taneytown Road or the gate at Baltimore Street. This non-ticketed event is free and open to the public.
Support the Gettysburg Foundation with a heartfelt donation for the Remembrance Day Illumination by sponsoring a candle in honor or memory of a loved one. A candle sponsorship is $18.63 and will be accepted through Friday, Nov. 2.
Volunteer opportunities are available for setting up, cleaning up, greeting guests, reading the names of Civil War soldiers and serving on the Honor Guard. Volunteer assignments are limited and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Sponsor a candle or request a volunteer assignment by emailing or calling 717-339-2148.
