What is your favorite place on the battlefield?
I really have two favorite places on the field. The first is at the 24th Michigan monument and the second is the Rose woods in front of the Brooke line.

My favorite location on the Gettysburg battlefield is the area of Pickett's Charge. One summer day my sister and I walked the field from the Virginia Monument to the Copse of Trees and it is a day I will always cherish. We stopped at different intervals to try to get some sense of the area for what it must have been like during that intense day of July 1863 for the soldiers of both Union and Confederate. That was a very special day for my sister and I and that area will remain as the most thought provoking for me.

My favorite spot on the battlefield is Little Round Top, running from the 20th Maine monument ("the end of the line") to the New York State monument (the spectacular view below and beyond).

My favorite spot on the battlefield is the Virginia Memorial.

First day battle fields. One spot I enjoy is where the statue of Gen. John Buford stands.
