The Visitor Center, a great starting point

The Visitor Center is where you'll find the National Park Service information booth, the ticket area, a book and gift shop, refreshments, and restrooms. While you're at the Visitor Center, don't miss the Cyclorama painting of  Pickett's Charge, the film “A New Birth of Freedom” and the Gettysburg Museum of the American Civil War. Tour and shuttle buses pick up and drop off at this location.

The Battlefield

The Gettysburg National Military Park is free to visitors and there are many programs and information available. 

Special historic sites to visit

There are other special historic sites that are part of the Gettysburg National Military Park, including the Soldiers’ National Cemetery, the George Spangler Farm, the Eisenhower National Historic Site, the David Wills House, and the Rupp House.
