In the Footsteps of Leaders

In the Footsteps of Leaders, an educational component of the Gettysburg Foundation — the non-profit partner of the National Park Service at Gettysburg — uses the resources of the Gettysburg battlefield and the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center to help facilitate the development of effective leaders.

The Gettysburg Foundation's flagship leadership program, In the Footsteps of Leaders, is presented by business leaders and historians and uses Gettysburg’s legacy of courage, bravery and sacrifice to help today’s business, education and government leaders make decisions that positively affect their organization’s success.

Plan Your Gettysburg Leadership Experience

The Gettysburg Leadership Institute, In the Footsteps of Leaders, is tailored to the individual needs of companies and organizations — from a one-day experience on the Gettysburg battlefield to a three-day event that incorporates Gettysburg National Military Park, the Museum and Visitor Center, Soldiers’ National Cemetery and the town of Gettysburg. Additional programs examine the leadership styles of presidents Abraham Lincoln and Dwight D. Eisenhower, both leaders for whom Gettysburg played a significant role.
