In the Footsteps of Leaders: Our Premier Programs
The Gettysburg Foundation’s tailored In The Footsteps of Leaders programs relate timeless, inspiring leadership lessons to the challenges organizations face today, whether in a small or large business, government organization, non-profit, or educational institution. Participants experience a full day on the Gettysburg battlefield, learn from Gettysburg’s most famous leaders, and are inspired by the courageous actions and decisions of soldiers at every level.
With over 100 clients served since 2007, the Gettysburg Foundation’s In The Footsteps of Leaders Leadership Program has become a premier source for clients worldwide who recognize the significance and value of Gettysburg as a definitive tool for professional development. Rather than focusing solely on the military strategy of the battle, the Leadership Program emphasizes an essential precept of decision-making: the people, their decisions, and the successful or unsuccessful outcomes based on those decisions.
The newly developed In The Footsteps of Leaders Executive Program is specifically designed for executive teams from Fortune 500 companies and similar organizations to build and develop senior leadership skills and increase effectiveness by exploring the battle through the eyes of key Gettysburg commanders. The fast-paced, ever-evolving complexities and opportunities that executive teams face – the need to inspire, engage and execute best plans, and adeptly lead their organizations – are as applicable in the 21st century as they were in 1863 at Gettysburg in the heat of battle. While gaining a deeper understanding of the decisions made during the Battle of Gettysburg, Executive Program participants spend considerable time focusing on the challenges and opportunities facing their own organizations through a structured and comprehensive curriculum guide accompanied by intensive facilitation.
