Leadership Institute
Leadership Program
Gettysburg is the place where the future of freedom hung in the balance. This is the place where President Lincoln called for “a new birth of freedom” in his Gettysburg Address and this is the place where millions of people visit each year, seeking to understand the importance of what happened here. Thousands of people worldwide have joined with the Gettysburg Foundation as it works in partnership with the National Park Service to enhance preservation and understanding of the lasting significance of Gettysburg.
Gettysburg Leadership Institute
The Gettysburg Leadership Institute, a program of the Gettysburg Foundation, the non-profit partner of the National Park Service at Gettysburg, uses the resources of the Gettysburg battlefield and the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center to help facilitate the development of effective leaders.
The Gettysburg Leadership Institute and its flagship program, “In the Footsteps of Leaders,” is presented by business leaders and historians and uses Gettysburg’s legacy of courage, bravery and sacrifice to help today’s business and education leaders make decisions that positively affect their organization’s success.
