The Battlefield at Gettysburg: Car Tours with a Licensed Battlefield Guide
After the Cyclorama, Film and Museum Experience, explore the battlefield at Gettysburg with a guided tour provided by a Licensed Battlefield Guide. These guides are independent contractors licensed and supervised by the National Park Service as historical interpreters of the Battle of Gettysburg. Licensed Battlefield Guides will drive your personal vehicle through Gettysburg National Military Park and explain the major events of the three-day battle. The standard Gettysburg car tours are two hours in length and are available daily.
We strongly urge you to reserve your Licensed Battlefield Guide at least two weeks in advance to ensure he or she is available. Gettysburg tours with a Licensed Guide in your car are available, first-come, first-served, on a walk-up basis at the Museum and Visitor Center. However, there are no guarantees Licensed Guides will be available when not reserved in advance. Guides must be reserved a minimum of 4 days in advance. If you choose not to reserve a guide in advance, it is likely you may not be able to enjoy this ideal way of experiencing the Gettysburg Battlefield. Licensed Battlefield Guide tours are non-refundable.
Licensed Battlefield Guide Car Tour Prices
- 1-6 visitors: $65 (per vehicle)
7-15 visitors: $90 (per vehicle)
Please Note: The $65 charge is per vehicle for up to six passengers. For example: If a family of four is taking a tour as passengers in one vehicle, the total charge is $65.
Licensed Battlefield Guides spend years studying the Battle of Gettysburg so they can offer visitors quality, informative and exciting tours. If you’re satisfied with your experience, it is customary to extend a gratuity.
