Sacred Trust Talks and Book Signings
Join renowned historians, authors and National Park Service rangers for the 150th Commemoration of the Battle of Gettysburg Sacred Trust Talks and Book Signings event. Held annually, this year’s focus is on topics relevant to 1863 and is a casual take on a lecture series. The diverse range of speakers and topics will interest everyone from first-time visitors to consummate students of the Civil War, and offer many opportunities to delve deeper into the nature and reverberations of the conflict that divided our nation.
The name of the series echoes the “sacred trust” that is the shared responsibility of current generations to remember and honor the past and serves as a cornerstone of the Gettysburg Foundation’s mission – to work in partnership with the National Park Service to preserve and interpret the heritage and lasting significance of Gettysburg.
This event is free and open to the public. It will take place at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center June 29-30 and July 5-7. The outdoor tented setting is relaxed and conveniently located near the bookstore and lobby, where several authors will be signing books. We hope you can join us.
