Sacred Trust Talks 2016
How the Civil War Changed Everything

Dates July 1, 2 & 3

At The Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center

Continuing a tradition of the popular Sacred Trust Talks and Book signings series, the Gettysburg Foundation and Gettysburg National Military Park will host renowned authors, historians, and National Park Service Rangers to discuss the impact of the American Civil War on contemporary politics, industry, medicine and culture.

Panel Discussion—Friday, July 1 at 7 p.m.
Sacred Trust will begin with a panel discussion on the evening of Friday, July 1st at 7:00 p.m. titled “A Conversation about Combat – From Gettysburg to Afghanistan.” Seating is limited for this free panel discussion so tickets are required. Outdoor Speaker Series—Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Experts and Authors will present 1-hour talks on the topic “How the Civil War Changed Everything.” Talks begin on the hour from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will discuss everything from technology and culture to leadership and combat tactics.

Author Book Signings—Saturday, July 2 and Sunday, July 3
Speakers and authors will be greeting the public and signing their books in the lobby of the Museum & Visitor Center throughout the days. Books will be available for purchase.
